My name is Jim Anderson, I'm originally from Bismarck, ND but I now live
Havelock, NC with my wife Jaime, dog Buddy and cat Ming. I’m a Staff
Sergeant. in the U.S. Marine Corps and stationed at Cherry Point Marine
Corps Air Station here in Havelock. I have two jobs in the Marine Corps,
my primary job is a Rescue Swimmer on a HH-46D Search and Rescue helicopter,
my secondary job is a computer system administrator. I've been in the Marine
Corps for ten years. I am also a Master SCUBA Diver Trainer with PADI, I've
been an Instructor for three years and have worked at a diveshop in
Beaufort, NC as an instructor and/or a mate on the diveboats for five
years.
My travels in the Marine Corps have afforded me the opportunity to dive
all over the world. My favorite place to dive still has to be here in NC
during the summertime, beautiful wrecks and warm clear water, plus I get
to dive with my favorite dive buddy, my wife. I only wish the wrecks were
a little closer to shore so we don't have the long boat rides. My love of
wreck diving has inspired me to write articles for a local newspaper,
which I have forwarded to Darryl's on-line magazine, I hope that you like
them.
