I was in Kingston several weeks ago (July 98) and visited Nick at Kingston
Diving Center. While there, I noticed a new book out about the Kingston
area, by P.O.W. (Preserve Our Wrecks). I am a fanatic when it comes to
well-written books and reports about diving, especially about wrecks that
I have seen or done.
This book collaborated on by several individuals in the diving community
is a collection of photo's and archeological survey information, gathered
from several sources. Some of the pictures and stills were taken during the
surveys and more were gathered from photographers from around Ontario. They
have gone into detail about each wreck they surveyed, from actual accounts
of launching, building to sinking. Measurements were taken and observations
written down for future reference as to how the wrecks are standing up over
time.
Preserve Our Wrecks and Jonathan Moore, my hats off to you for the work
that you have done in the field of underwater archeology. I have looked
this book through now several times, and will continue to do so in the
future.
